Oh Bethany, the joy you bring your family is evident!
Your siblings remain your best friends and biggest fans! Benjamin gives you countless hugs a day. They both get smiles from you quicker than anyone else -well, except for your daddy! Your love for your daddy is so precious to watch! You hear his keys in the door after work and you are crawling toward him immediately, expecting and excited to be picked up!
Your fur-granny Gladys is your other favorite! You look for her and she looks out for you.
Something about this picture gives me glimpses of you as an older child.
You also LOVE being outside! If your siblings are out there, you expect to get to go outside too. You have figured out how to get on and off the patio with no help. You love the water table! and the sand table, but Mom limits the sand table because you love to eat the sand as much as you play in it.
You notice what the big kids do and want to be a part of the fun. The mall toys are no exception.
Icecream, anyone?
Your tummy has become less mysterious in the last few months. We have been trialing food and have discovered that your system will not tolerate dairy, soy protein, and peanuts. The unknown is the hardest, so now that we know, we can avoid and stick to what is safe! Because of how sensitive your system has proven to be, we will continue strict avoidance and consider trials again at 2. Definitely trial by 3, only consider at 2.
I love your hair pulled up out of your face, but this is my constant battle, ha! You love to put your hands in your hair, so a little ponytail is simply a new game.
You are down to one nap a day most of the time. Occasionally you take a 15 minute power nap in the car if we are out and about. This day, you feel asleep right as we pulled up to Target and finished the last 5 minutes or so of your power nap in my arms.
I treasured it!!
This was the end of our pool morning, so your grin was too fleeting to catch, but those eyes!
You can crawl so fast! You fly up the stairs given the chance. You have a little car you push around the house and have figured out how to steer it any where you want to go. In the last few days you have started standing without holding on to anything. You find your balance and you will finally start taking steps, but most of the time you just crawl speedily away rather than try to walk.
Bethie girl, you remain our sweet but independent, busy but cuddly girl! You love the pool and that spring and summer time have gotten you outside lots more! You are a mama's girl when we are out, but you are a daddy's girl at home. You love books, which I love because they help keep you happy in the car. You LOVE babies! You notice babies when we are out and about. At nursery, they say that your favorite toy is a babydoll and you give it the most attention. Your other favorite is any dog, any where. We hear 'woof woof'' all the time!! (You can say dog, woof woof, mama, dada, more, all done, but you are very picky about when you will actually say them.)
We love you, our precious Bethie girl!
